Tangletown Notes

With all the hubbub on 45th, it’s easy to forget the second center of Wallingford, up Tangletown way (centered around N. 56th St). Sounds like things are shaking up there:

First, Tangletown has thrown its hat into super premium ice cream the ring. Jenn tips us off that Hiroki, already well known for their jaw-droppingly delicious desserts, is now serving handmade ice cream, as well. Double scoop, please.

Second, Jenn and Kimberly tip us off that Meridian Market (2201 N. 56th St) is offering a movie night for kids every Sunday:

Meridan Market
It’s Show Time!

We have decided to make a price change to our “kids only dinner & movie night” in order to try and make it affordable for everyone. The price is now $15.00 per child and $10.00 per sibling. Please sign up if your child is interested…. This Sunday’s showing may be cancelled due to low interest.

Jordan

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
