Sign Wonderfulness

  • Post author:

Thanks to a bit of community reporting, we bring you photos of guerrilla art from 39th and Bagley. Christina e-mailed us yesterday and asked if  we had seen the “most excellent signs at 39th and Bagley”. We had not! And our schedule prevented us from making a foray over there to investigate. So we sent out a plea to Twitter: anyone with a camera near 39th and Bagley, please send us shots of what we’re missing.

Shortly thereafter, Lee sent us these fabu shots of the signs that have been erected just south of 40th. Luverly.

We’re quite sure we don’t get the last one, but we don’t care. Thanks Lee and Christina!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

What’s wrong with the last one? I think the little farmers are cute. Its the stripper one that made me look twice.
