OmCulture, the new yoga studio on Pacific Ave, is having its grand opening this Saturday, Sept 26, starting at noon. Here’s the schedule:

  • 12:00 – 3:00 pm Open Play Gym (for kids and grown ups)
  • 6:00 – 7:30 pm Yoga class taught by Laura DeFrietas, Michael Suzerris and Eza King
  • 7:30 – 8:30 pm Social time with food from India House and Lululemon Fashion Show
  • 8:30 – 11:00 pm Live Music with the Rafe Pearlman Band (suggested $10 donation, but no one will be turned away)

Sounds like fun. The Lulelemon fashion show should be interesting, as well. Perhaps they’ll have some of their “seaweed clothing” on display?

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
