Candidate Forum Tuesday

  • Post author:

Wallingford will be playing host to a host of candidates this coming Tuesday, October 13th at the Lincoln High School Auditorium (enter on Woodlawn Ave. N, between N 44th and N 45th). The Candidate Forum, co-sponsored by the chambers of commerce and community councils Wallingford, Fremont, Green Lake, Greenwood, Phinney, Aurora and the University District, will feature a forum and debate by candidates for Mayor, City Attorney, and City Council positions.

Here’s the schedule as published:

  • 6:00 – Doors open
  • 6:30 – 7:00 City Attorney
  • 7:00 – 8:00 Mayor
  • 8:00 – 9:15 City Council

To have your question asked, email [email protected].

If you do attend, please drop us a note with your impressions. If all goes as planned, we’ll be staring at the ceiling in a narcotic daze following knee surgery, so won’t be much for the forums and debates, but we would like to share the story with those like us who can’t be there.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
