EWHA Clean-Up

  • Post author:

The semi-fictitious East Wallingford Hot Tub Association is at it again this weekend, cleaning the streets. As they have previously, they’ll be meeting up at the corner of 302 NE 44th St (corner of Latona) this Sunday, 10/18 at 10 am to take on supplies (bags, grippers, reflective vests, assignment maps, etc.) and then fanning out through their territory to pick up trash and wipe out graffiti.

If you’d like to join them, just come on by. These have been a great way to get to know your neighbors, all are welcome.

Sadly, we will be staring longingly out our front window, still recuperating from our ACL replacement surgery earlier this week. We’ll clean vicariously through you.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
