A Disturbance in the Traffic

Just outside on our border, but impacting our travel, there’s road work planned for tomorrow on the northbound I-5 entrance ramp at 45th St:

SDOT paving crews will work tomorrow, October 9, in the right hand, northbound lane of Seventh Avenue NE at NE 45th Street, at the on-ramp to northbound I-5. During this work, general traffic headed for I-5 will use the HOV lane to get to the on-ramp. The paving crews plan to work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while they remove the old asphalt surface and lay new asphalt.

Also, the Huskies are playing the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, from 7 – 10 pm, for which a crowd of some 65,000 are expected. Expect congestion on I-5 and purple-clad parkers throughout the eastern part of our neighborhood.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
