Not a Number Anniversary

  • Post author:

The folks over at Not a Number (1905 N 45th) are celebrating their 5th anniversary this week (their 4th in Wallingford, their first year was in Queen Anne) with all sortsa special events. They kick off tonight, Saturday, with a benefit concert for Veterans for Peace with music from NYC singer / songwriter George Mann at 8 pm and then again at 9 pm (short set, we guess). Suggested donation $5 – $10, but no one turned away.

Later in the week, they’ll be screening a couple episodes of The Prisoner (the source of their store’s name) in honor of the new version showing up AMC, but we’re not sure exactly when (Kara / John, maybe you can leave info as a comment on this post?)

Finally, in celebration of their sorta 4th and sorta 5th anniversary, if you buy four items this week, you get a fifth free (of equal or lesser value).

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
