QFC closed today

It was a bit buried at the bottom of our last QFC update, so a quick reminder along with more recent photos from Dan S.: QFC is closed today for electrical work. They will re-open tomorrow morning (Tuesday) by 5 a.m.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    It’s nice that you posted the information here since the store has up absolutely no sign or posting of the closure; simply some construction guy at the door turning people away.

    No, they had signs all over the Wallingford Ave. construction fence — I just didn’t get that they were going to be closed for 27 hours (2 a.m this morning through 5 a.m. tomorrow), not 3. At least they’ve got all the letters back now!

    I was kinda hoping they’d keep putting ’em up in backwards order, so we could be ALL IN G-FORD!
