Gay Bingo comes to Fremont

  • Post author:

We read on Fremont Universe that the loads-o-fun Lifelong AIDS Alliance’s Gay Bingo is moving from the cavernous and echoey South Lake Union Naval Reserve building to Fremont Studios (155 N. 35th St). The kick-off for the new location is this Saturday, January 23rd, doors at 6 pm.

They note (and we confirm) that adults 21 and older of any sexual orientation can participate. Gay, straight or somewhere in between, it’s a kick, with lots of folks dressing up in costumes, music, acts and hilarity.

Tickets range from $25 – $35 and include ten bingo games, with cash prizes.  See the Gay Bingo web site for more details.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

Yep. I attended last weekend with a group of friends, and it was great fun (and I am neither gay nor a bingo player)!
