Wallingford Crime Report

We’re encouraging people to report criminal activity in Wallingford to the police and to the Wallyhood Crime Forum. We have no idea what the police do with their reports, but we’ll be rolling up the reports from the forum here, to help folks keep a pulse on the criminal beat.

A few people have reported egging incidents. Wallyhood is carefully restraining ourselves from the many obvious puns this crime offers.

A black shogun bike with pink-taped handlebars was stolen from someone’s backyard. It is sorely missed.

Solicitors are knocking on doors when they shouldn’t be (that would be always).

Cars all over the neighborhood are being broken into, including three up by Kensington and 53rd in one night.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    People have been passing counterfeit 20’s and 100’s in Wallingford. So far we know of Tutta Bella and Tully’s were stuck with fakes. Businesses should be alert and examine all bills 20 and over.
