Wallymom – There’s a Monkey in my Soup!

  • Post author:

Some of the basic staples of our family outing calendar are going to local book stores and hitting up live music shows. So guess how excited we were to hear that we can do both at once this Saturday at Alphabet Soup Books!

This fabulous local children’s bookstore is featuring a free live concert with Recess Monkey at 10am Saturday March 6th. The band will be performing all your favorites from the new Field Trip album plus all-time Monkey classics. The S0up will open early on Saturday at 9:30am and will also be providing refreshments pre and post-show should you need to fuel up.

And if you just can’t get enough books and music in your life, the Soup will also be hosting another local band, Harmonica Pocket, as they celebrate Dr. Seuss with their special show “Get Loose With Seuss” on Sunday April 11th at 11:30am.

So mosey on over this Saturday for some good times and fun tunes!

Sharon came to Seattle sixteen years ago to attend the University of Washington Law School and has been here ever since. House hunting brought her to Wallingford – the tree lined beauty of 40th just couldn’t be beat. Since then, she has practiced law, written some short stories, taken a detour into project management, and started a family. She currently works for a large Redmond software company and has moved to another home in Wallingford with Scott, their two children, and cat. She came to write for Wallyhood through her friend Jordan.
