The things we do to get your attention. It shames us.

We just heard from Nicole and Karyn at the Alliance Française de Seattle that “France’s most-beloved daughter, award-winning actress and international musical star”, Charlotte Gainsbourg, is stopping by the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Ave. N #205) tonight, Tuesday, April 13th from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.

Charlotte is currently on tour promoting her latest album, titled IRM, where she collaborated with chart-topping American artist, Beck.

Charlotte will be answering questions not only about her latest work with Beck but also about what it is like for her to live with two languages and two cultures.  Her mother is English top-model/singer/actress Jane Birkin and father is the legendary French singer/songwriter, Serge Gainsbourg.  Mediator will be Jon Kertzer from KEXP’s The Best Ambiance.

Charlotte is France’s most prolific star and the Alliance Française of Seattle is honored to welcome her as she talks about her latest work and her life as one of the most iconic people for France. Space is limited to the first 100 attendees.

Doors open @ 6:00pm, free for Members of the Alliance Française, $15 donation for non-members, bring your CDs, posters, etc for signing.

Mon dieu!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
