Nike man, using that PSP?

  • Post author:

The Seattle Crime blog is reporting an attempted robbery last night on 45th St:

The man was walking home March 27 around 3 a.m. when two men approached him at 45th and Wallingford Ave. The suspects told him he had a very nice PSP and Nike shoes. The victim told the men that they could buy their own stuff. […] The suspect then allegedly punched the victim in the face. The other suspect grabbed him and punched him in the back of the head.

He fought back and was able to scramble away. A group of people came out of a nearby bar and started yelling at the suspects to leave him alone. The suspects ran off.

See their post for the full deets, and thanks to our bar patrons for protecting the ‘hood.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
