Helen

Helen has lived in Wallingford for 16 years and think it’s the best neighborhood in Seattle, possibly the world. She has worn a track between her house, QFC and the library and spends a lot time poking her nose into things. She is a mother, does volunteer work and is interested in local, green and child-related issues. She has an advanced degree in English literature and thus reads a lot and enjoys the craft of writing. She also works part-time for her husband’s software company (doesn’t everyone have a software company around here?).

Too bad those are non-flip-in-able mirrors on that van.

I started flipping in my street-side mirrors after the first two side-swipes. Forgot and lost another one. At $200 to $300 each for the remote operated mirrors, it gets pretty pricey. The last one I was lucky and could just replace the shattered glass. In all cases, there was never a note or other acknowledgment. Check the Interweb for some good prices on replacements. Useful for a 1989 vehicle.

I live between NE 45th and NE 50th on Sunnyside, and as with Greg. this has happened to my car twice.  In neither case did the offending driver leave a contact or insurance info.  Ouch!
