Kelley spotted this sign in the door of the 7-Eleven at100 NE 50th St:

If the glare is too much for you, it says that the Seahawks Seagals will be there this Friday, August 6th from noon until 1 pm, and they’ll give out free sandwiches to the first 100 customers. You are instructed not to forget your camera, because you will want to have your picture taken with the aforementioned SeaGals.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    Seahawks Seagals ? Nah…
    Might show up if the Rat City Roller Girls were there. That was fun for 5 months. Can’t wait for the 2011 season to begin.

    Now if they were handing out free sandwiches to the homeless, that might be something to celebrate. Of course we all know that will never happen because the homeless cannot afford to buy tickets.

    7-11 will also likely be the Seahawks record in 2012, when the NFL moves to an 18 game schedule.
