There’s love in the air in Fremont, tequila and Mexican fare in Tangletown, Japanese sweet crepes in Capitol Hill, and fun new shops in Phinney Ridge. Sounds like a good time to visit the neighbors!
- If you have time before or after our own Tilth Harvest Fair, you can cap it off with the Fremont LoveFest on the same day, Saturday, Sept. 11th. According to Fremont Universe, this is a “music festival that also promotes a message of unity and environmentalism”. Both nice ways to counteract the sadness of that anniversary.
- We hear from My Green Lake that the Pour House in Tangletown is going to be rechristened Bandolero and will feature Mexican food and drinks. !Ole!
- Tokyo Sweets, the Japanese-style crepe stand attached to the new Boom Noodle in U. Village, also plans to open inside the Boom Noodle on East Pike Street, according to Capitol Hill Seattle. Other new Capitol Hill Asian yummies are the Pinto Thai Bistro and Sushi Bar on Broadway and Crepan Crepe World, another Japanese crepe stand, at 1303 Madison.
- PhinneyWood.com congratulates seven, mostly-new, independent boutique shops along Greenwood Ave. featured in an article in Sunset Magazine. Sounds like good browsing!
