The Low-Down on “Get Low”

  • Post author:

Set yourself down and enjoy an evening with Robert Duvall was the take-home message for audiences interviewed as they were exiting Get Low, the new movie at The Guild.  You could do a lot worse than spend some time in the company of his stern magnificence:

  • Liked it a lot.  Great.  Robert Duvall deserves a Best Actor Oscar.  Has he won one before or just Supporting Actor?  It was a showcase for him.  Great, great role for him.” – Greg
  • “Hard to go wrong with Robert Duvall and Bill Murray.  Extraordinary actors and wonderful story.” – Heidi
  • “Exquisitely acted and subtle and rich.”  – Ross
  • “Duvall is amazing in his ability to be natural in whatever he is doing.  . . . .  in the funeral party, the ending seemed tacked on, it lost emotional momentum” – Casey
  • I love anything with Robert Duvall in it.  He was awesome as always.  A great period movie too.” – Shelley
  • “I’ve watched Robert Duvall in most all of his work.  I think he deserves an award.  The Godfather, Lonesome Dove.  A good, very good movie.” – Jerry
