In case you missed it, the Wading Pool season has come and gone, my oh my. Gayle wrote to remind us:

Just want to remind all the parents that the Wallingford Wading Pool is officially closed for the season. Just got a call from my husband asking why the pool wasn’t open since it’s Wednesday and the forecast is sunny and above 70. I checked the parks website and noticed that our wading pool was only open till the 20th, last Friday. So he took our daughter up to Green Lake. But I’m sure there are more curious parents out there wondering where all the water went. Also, all the “daily” wading pools close on 9/6

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same.
