4 Your Eyes Takes 1st Prize

There was at least one Wallingford first place winner in King 5’s Best of Western Washington poll: 4 Your Eyes Only Optical in Wallingford Center took the Best Eyewear category. Congratulations!

To be fair, Dick’s, which has a Wallingford location (its first) took Best Burger (we can only assume that the bulk of Seattle has just never tried Red Mill, which has fewer locations) and Desert Sun Tanning took Best Tanning Salon, but they’re based on Maple Valley.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    Thank you Anita. I have to say, it does feels pretty awesome to win. 4 Your Eyes Only Optical was also name best optical store in the Seatte Magazine Best of 2010.
    There are quite a few Wallingford businesses that also took 1st place.
