Meet-up Tomorrow

Quickie reminder: we’re hoping to meet you tomorrow at the Blue Star tomorrow, Wednesday, between 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Jacqui mirrored our own thoughts:

I’m wondering how many of us will lay eyes on each other and say, “Oh! It’s the dude/chick I always see at QFC/Fuel/Starbucks/etc…” It’ll be nice to put faces to names… and names to faces!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    I came just before 6 p.m. Took a tour around, didn’t see a group gathering, saw a lot of guys teetering and smelling of beer. Asked the barmaid. No luck. I am a plucky former New Yorker, but didn’t feel like hanging around here alone. Did I miss you?

    Aw dang, yes you did miss us! We were in the back room. Rotten that the barmaids weren’t all told!

    No teetering back our way.

    Stupid me, I read Blue Moon. Wondered why we were not meeting in Wallingford. That’s what happens when you get old?
