Warm and Bright

An old-fashioned ladies knitting circle outside Bad Woman Yard in the Wallingford Center!

In no particular order, they are:  Allie (scarf), Rebecca (scarf), Erin (fabulous hat – her words), Sam (neck cozy), Joanne (hat), Becky (shawl), and Missy (scarf and hat).

They’re the Newbie Knitters and gather here every other Sunday (contact Becky (shawl) at meetup.com to join).  Cozy, eh?

This full-body rain protection makes a lot of sense lately.  Especially given the Wet Floor sign in Bartell’s.  I want a set.

Hello John and Christine of Open Books Poetry!  Nice coat rack.

Despite torrential rains and bitter winds, the Molly Moon’s ice cream truck is still a magnificent sight.

Santa on N. 46th St. outside Bethany Bear Preschool.

Helen

Helen has lived in Wallingford for 16 years and think it’s the best neighborhood in Seattle, possibly the world. She has worn a track between her house, QFC and the library and spends a lot time poking her nose into things. She is a mother, does volunteer work and is interested in local, green and child-related issues. She has an advanced degree in English literature and thus reads a lot and enjoys the craft of writing. She also works part-time for her husband’s software company (doesn’t everyone have a software company around here?).
