Shots Fired in East Wallingford

  • Post author:

While Wine World held its private grand opening party tonight (the public grand opening party is tomorrow night), apparently some less sophisticated drinkers were rumbling across the street. The Seattle Crime blog reports:

Seattle police responded to a shots fired call in Wallingford around 7:45pm tonight, near a pizza place and tattoo parlor.

That would be Slave to the Needle Tattto and Milano Pizza, by process of elimination. No additional information is available, except that a bullet was lodged in the building.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

Anyone know why there are a bunch of police officers with search dogs here by the Wallingford Inn? They are a couple blocks west of the Inn as well.

I live in the southwest quadrant of 45th and Stone Way. My girlfriend got home around 11:15pm and counted at least eight Seattle PD patrol cars and few officers on foot. They left about 15 minutes after that.

and this IS why I don’t drink wine…. it just leads to gun play! Sounds like some Microsoftee’s and Amazonians got all “thug life” if you ask me.

Pizza and tattoos are both well known so-called “gateway drugs” which inevitably lead to personal disintegration and gunshots. To prevent Wallingford from being overrun by gunslinging tattooed pizza addicts contact the FBI and demand that they immediately prohibit these dangerous and un-American enterprises.
