What in the Wallingford

  • Post author:

OK, folks, you forced our hand. We’re taking it up a notch.

The last four times we ran the What in the Wallingford contest, eagle-eyed readers nailed it in a matter of hours (and sometimes minutes). So we’re going to make it a little more difficult.

This week’s mystery photo is shown at right. As you can tell, we had a little fun with it, but it should still be recognizable.

Also, to give everyone more of a sporting chance, instead of asking you to post your answer in the comments section, we’re going to ask you instead to fill in the form below with your answer. That will submit it privately to Wallyhood and we will select one correct answer at random to receive the prize, which is a coupon good for 2 free rentals at our generous sponsor, Scarecrow Video, home to 100,000’s of video talents which you can plum forget about finding on iTunes or Netflix.

And remember, we’ve got prizes waiting for readers who submit their own photos for use in this contest, so get in the game!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
