60 Second Interview! – Jen Koogler

Lights!  Camera!  Action!  Here’s another snapshot of one of our great Wallyhood sponsors.

Jen Koogler, Marketing Coordinator at Scarecrow Video:

Where are you from? – From here.  I grew up in Renton.

What’s the secret of your success? – Our vast inventory of films and our commitment as a staff to sharing that and promoting our love of cinema to Seattle.

What do you like best about Wallingford? – It’s large and not as physically close-knit as some other neighborhoods but it’s got a nice neighborhood feel to it and sense of community.  It’s nice to know that people in Wallingford still want to come over here especially since Hollywood Video closed.  We get lots of Wallingford families.

Finally, what’s your favorite flavor of ice cream? – It’s a tie between Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough and Balsamic Strawberry from Molly Moon.

Helen has lived in Wallingford for 16 years and think it’s the best neighborhood in Seattle, possibly the world. She has worn a track between her house, QFC and the library and spends a lot time poking her nose into things. She is a mother, does volunteer work and is interested in local, green and child-related issues. She has an advanced degree in English literature and thus reads a lot and enjoys the craft of writing. She also works part-time for her husband’s software company (doesn’t everyone have a software company around here?).
