Hide ‘n Seek

This sounds like good clean neighborly fun:

‘Hood Hunts will be in “mid” Wallingford (40th to 45th St.) on Wed. July 20th at 6 PM.  Meet at the NW corner of Wallingford Playfield, with a copy of the map and clues from their site and go on a scavenger hunt.  The 20 checkpoints cover about 1/2 square mile.  Hang out at the Blue Star Cafe afterwards for food and conversation.

Patrick Nuss, the organizer of ‘Hood Hunts explains:

We’ve done 15 of these events so far since October, each in a different neighborhood. It started mostly with a group of friends who organized these.

If you’d like to see maps and info from all of our previous events, just look under the “past events” tab on our website.

It’s grassroots and free.  Way to make your own entertainment in these economic times!

Helen

Helen has lived in Wallingford for 16 years and think it’s the best neighborhood in Seattle, possibly the world. She has worn a track between her house, QFC and the library and spends a lot time poking her nose into things. She is a mother, does volunteer work and is interested in local, green and child-related issues. She has an advanced degree in English literature and thus reads a lot and enjoys the craft of writing. She also works part-time for her husband’s software company (doesn’t everyone have a software company around here?).
