For the Love of Pete

A guy walks through QFC parking lot with a pair of matching brown Boxer dogs, one has its hind legs in a wheeled contraption that rolls along, the other does not.

Inside QFC I notice more of this summer’s new fashion, floor-length slinky sundresses.  The middle-aged woman in me approves, it’s attractive but covers a lot.

At the intersection of Wallingford and 45th a woman scampers across as the light is changing to red, while her male companion refuses to follow her.  He calls across, “You go ahead, I’ll catch up”.  Is he being sarcastic?  She hesitates on the other side and stops for him at the corner while he continues to call, “Go on ahead!” while steadfastly waiting for the long light to change.

At the entrance to Jhanjay vegetarian Thai restaurant, a group enters which includes a person wearing oversized Viking horns and someone in a very large sombrero.

Apologies to those who enjoy photos.

Helen

Helen has lived in Wallingford for 16 years and think it’s the best neighborhood in Seattle, possibly the world. She has worn a track between her house, QFC and the library and spends a lot time poking her nose into things. She is a mother, does volunteer work and is interested in local, green and child-related issues. She has an advanced degree in English literature and thus reads a lot and enjoys the craft of writing. She also works part-time for her husband’s software company (doesn’t everyone have a software company around here?).
