Tara’s Tots / Fremont Community School Open House

2010_1_20_TarasTots-4933Welcome to 2012, parents! Yes, it’s only January, but it’s already time to start thinking about where your kiddos are going to be in September. To kick it off, the Waldorf-based Tara’s Tots and its sister Fremont Community School are holding open houses on the same dates over the next couple of weeks: Sunday, January 8th at 3 pm, Sunday January 22nd  at 3 pm and Wednesday Feb 8th at 7 pm

Tara’s Tots (Songbirds) is located at 3534 Interlake Ave N 98103. Fremont Community School is located at 3530 Interlake Ave N 98103. There’s also a satellite school of Tara’s Tots (Robins for 2 1/2 to 5, and Chickadees 1 to 2 1/2) in the Green Lake at 6238 Woodlawn Ave N 98103, with the same open house dates.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
