Man, those folks at Wine World know how to have a good time. What are you doing this gray and drizzly Saturday? Cleaning out your closets? Brushing your dog?

Well, here’s what the Wine World folks have got going on today:

That’s right. The world famous Tom Black is Back & opening his new Restaurant Bea in Madrona soon! Come by for a sample of culinary surprise from 2 – 5 pm.

That’s right, you read it correctly. She’ll be at Wine World from 3 – 5 talking up the “Exotic Wine Fest” a week from Tuesday at Teatro. She’ll also tell you about their hot new show, “Caliente! – Unleash Your Inner Jalapeno”. Come by and meet Manuela!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
