The Last Pancake

PancakesGluten-friendly folks, take heed, for this is your last chance in some time to help the Wallingford Senior Center and pack in those glutinous carbs. Norah Erwin-Stewart writes of this Sunday’s Pancake Breakfast:

This is the last one until the Fall, so we hope to have a great turnout.  This one is also special because Mary Heim from Wallingford Community Preparedness will be on hand to with an information table with utility safety information, emergency supply samples, skills training, and materials on personal and neighborhood safety. Tagline: How not to “flip out in an emergency while getting your flapjack fix.”

Wallingford Community Senior Center Pancake Breakfast: Adults $5 / Kids $2.50. Pancakes, French Toast, and More! Sunday, May 20th, 9am – 12pm.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
