Kidical Mass to Wallingford Greenway Celebration

  • Post author:

Calling all biking kids and their families! Hop on a bike train to Saturday’s Wallingford Greenway Par-tay in the form of this month’s Kidical Mass ride.

From Totcycle:

Depart NE Green Lake, on the grass around the playground at the Green Lake Community Center, and we’ll follow this route.

Meet at 4pm, ride at 4:15pm, arrive for Ribbon Cutting, Kid Parade, road chalk, hot dogs, bike blenders, and GELATO from D’Ambrosio Gelato in Ballard and Cap Hill! Marco and Enzo, the family gelato team, make the bestest, most authenticest, and most generousest gelato in town.

Hope to see you there!

The two full traffic lanes on Bridge Way N. (eastbound) are narrowed by parked vehicles to a hazardous one-and-a-half lanes between N. 38th and Albion Pl. N. for northbound drivers exiting the Aurora Bridge.. One cannot drive in the right lane without risking side-swiping parked cars, so moving to the left lane is mandatory. I have observed many dangerous lane changes at the last moment and heard many horns blowing in response. I don’t think any parking should be allowed between the bridge and Stoneway. I have contacted the city twice, had one email “thank you”, and have seen no action taken. Any one else who has noticed this might wish to add their voice by contacting Seattle Engineering Dept via email.

Just because you call the city and tell them you don’t like something doesn’t mean they are going to change it for you.
