Two weeks ago I sent to the Seattle Mayor two photos of hole in sidewalk at 45th NE and I-5 at NW corner. A week later I sent a third photo. Yesterday a letter came from office of the Mayor stating the State is responsible. But this week the hole was filled with asphalt. I suspect the Office of the Seattle Mayor nudged the State.  One less hazard.

There, and who says the government doesn’t listen?

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

Wow, you the man!!! Now, is there anything you can do about 40th for seveal blocks where it goes under I-5? This is a major bike route to BG Trail and is full of pot holes and uneven paving. I have tried repeatedly to no avail to the pot hole web site.

To balance, I emailed the street sign site on a Sunday afternoon and the city crew came out and fixed both signs by noon on Monday…..nice work!!!!

Seriously, thank you! I’ve been wondering (and worried) about that hole for sometime but wasn’t sure who to address my concerns to.
