The Goddess Festival, the daylong music event that debuted last year at Meridian Park will be returning this year with some adjustments and perhaps lessons learned to Lower Woodland Park on August 25th. Tomorrow night, there’s a fundraiser comedy show for the event. Tara Shuttleworth, the event organizer, writes:

Coming up THIS FRIDAY THE 13th!  Babette’s Events Presents our Second Annual “Laugh Your Goddass Off” Comedy Show at CMA Gallery and Performance Space in Wallingford.  Starring Michael Stegner, Cait Parks, Andy Koopmans and Jack Shuttleworth.

$25.00 at the door gives you a great show and (2) drink tickets!  Doors open at 8:30pm!  Money at the door and beverage sales go to benefit The Goddess Festival taking place at Lower Woodland Park on August 25thwww.goddessfestival.info.  The Goddess Festival is a fundraising event benefitting our youth, family and the elderly (Savor the Sound, FamilyWorks and The Wallingford Community Senior Center! )

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
