Comics Dungeon Moving

Now, now, don’t get all freaked out, it’s not going far. We spotted someone loading shelving into the storefront next to Petosa’s Accordion shop, near Kate’s Pub, where the martial arts supply store was,  and thought we were getting something new, but turns out it’s just a bit of intra-neighborhood shifting.

Scott Tomlin of Comics Dungeon explains:

We are planning on moving by the end of next week, earlier if we can pull it off. We are moving for a couple reasons, the key reason is that we see Joe Petosa as good and cooperative landlord and are looking forward to building our relationship with him both as landlord and neighbor. We were in our old location for over a decade and over the years we had several issues with flooding, plumbing and some structural aspects. The building is old is bound to have issues, we felt it better to move to a newer location with an onsite landlord with a personal commitment for investment and improvements in the building. We loved our old location and had to move, but we are excited for the fresh start that we will get in the Petosa building. As we are moving we are upgrading our furniture and hope to be set up to offer new services and events in the not-so-distant future.

Ka-Pow!

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
