Short Term Wallingford Rental

Remodeling your home and need a place to stay while its under construction? Have out of town guests coming to stay? Are you a visiting researcher at the UW?

Rent our beautiful, 3 bedroom home in Wallingford. Walk to the UW, Fremont, easy access to I-5, downtown and South Lake Union.

Includes hot tub and outdoor shower! Great for kids: play structure in the back yard and right across the street from a school playground. Optional chickens for fresh eggs (we’ll move them while we’re gone if you don’t want them). Fresh honey!

We’ll be traveling March 9 – mid-June and are looking for short-term renters while we’re gone. Full details in our Craiglist ad.

The house is also available for shorter term rental through AirBnB (assuming we don’t get someone interested in renting for the full three months), and, separately, we have a studio apartment (sleeps up to 4) that’s a mother-in-law attached to the same house. I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    I am sure your house is always that spotless :). We did the same thing in 2008 for three months. A family in Wedgewood was pretty excited to take our house for three months while they remodeled. It worked out well and helped pay for the trip.

    We’ll be spending the first month and a half in Spain (Seville for three weeks, then up to Barcelona / Basque country for another couple of weeks). We’re going to visit Morocco briefly after that, and after that…not sure.

    I’ll post a detailed follow-up (and info on our travel blog, natch) later this week.
