Dancing Matt dances Wallingford

Jordan Jordan May 18, 2009 2 Comments

You know the story: guy is traveling around Asia, does a little jig on camera for a friend, posts it the Internet. For reasons that not even The Google could provide, the video gets passed around until said dancer is “quasi-famous”. At some point, a gum company sponsors him to continue traveling around the world, dancing his little jig in as many and as many places as possible (80 countries at last count).

Ringing any bells? Does this help?

Perhaps this video has inspired you to quit your job and get sponsored by a gum company to travel the world dancing somewhat ineptly? If so, then you will certainly want to go see Matt talk tomorrow night, Tuesday 5/19, 7 – 8 pm at Wide World Books and Maps (4411 Wallingford Ave N).

While he will nominally be introducing his new book, Where the Hell is Matt?: Dancing Badly Around the World, I’m sure he will also reveal the secret to becoming an Internet sensation.

Better than hampsters, people.
