We're a day late on this, but Darwin reports an accident in front of Dick's on 45th: About 3:45 pm. Looked like bike put BIG dent in passenger door of blue SUV. Cyclist taken away in ambulance. Possibly SUV made left turn across path of bike while bike was EB? Seattle Fire took the bike away, looked like a fixie without brakes

University Fitness: Bankrupt

I've gone to University Fitness (45th and Roosevelt) for nearly a year now. After noticing that they hadn't charged me for my February membership, I asked the owner's wife about it on Monday. She told me that she already knew about the issue and it was just a glitch in the system--one that they would soon fix. Film Crew at Meridian and 37th – 40th Ave N

Rachel and Susan tipped us off that there's a film crew at work on Meridian Ave N around 38th and 40th: Hello, I just got back from dropping my son off at school and noticed that they appear to be filming a movie on Meridian between 40th and 38th. There were a lot of trucks (lighting, grip, catering, portable restrooms, etc) that were being set up and unloaded. Any idea what is going on? Who's got the scoop?

Seattle Launches New “Urban Agriculture” Site

As long-time beekeepers, hyperlocally famous tomato farmers and soon-to-be chicken ranchers, we here at Wallyhood are huge fans of the "urban homesteading" movement that is bringing previously rural-only farming practices to the city (and very local food to our table).
