Drunk Drawing

Ever been to a Boozy Doodle at Al’s Tavern?  Nope, this isn’t some ploy to get your Labradoodle drunk—though this is Wallingford, so we can see why, you know, people might interpret it that way.  Boozy Doodle is all about sketching with Wallingford’s sketchiest every Tuesday night, beginning at 9pm.  We wrote about Boozy Doodle Drawin’ Night last January, when Jordan spied the sign taped to the window at Al’s Tavern.  Al’s Facebook page nicely sums up a description:

Come one, come all. Come hang with some ‘sketchy drunks’. Pick up some tricks on pencil shading and ink, or rekindle your lost childhood with an abstract interpretation of a rainbow unicorn circa ’83.

Now through March 1, Al’s is holding a drawing contest:

Make a sushi/fish related drawing for our friends/neighbors at Rain Sushi and be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to Rain and get your drawing shown in The Stranger as part of Rain’s April advertisement.  There’s only 3 Tuesdays left until the deadline, so get your ass in gear and come down to Boozy Doodle!!
