Fresh Fitness on Solid Ground and Fit to Feed

Shannon March 1, 2011 1 Comment

Have you been telling yourself lately that you need to get to the gym or try a new workout? Well, let me give you a good reason and a little push to try the newest workout craze Zumba, at Fresh Fitness and Dance Fit to Feed Fundraiser Event (4430 Corliss Ave North), Friday, March 4th, 6:30 pm.

You may be asking, “what is Zumba?” According to Fresh Fitness and Dance:

Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program.  Zumba® wants you to want to work out, to love it, and to get hooked.  Zumba® fanatics achieve long-term health and fitness benefits through one-hour calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movement classes.  Routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body.  Add some Latin flavor, international zest, and contagious smiles, and you’ve got a Zumba® class!

Fresh Fitness and Dance has partnered with Solid Ground in designing the Fit to Feed Fundraiser event. The cost of the class is $10 and 100% of the proceeds raised will be donated to Solid Ground, as well as 100% of the membership enrollment fees for any new members who are referred by Solid Ground that sign up during the weekend of March 4-6.  At the time of the event if you decide to become a member of Fresh Fitness and Dance the drop in class is FREE!

According to Ugochia at Solid Ground:

I manage the Partners in Caring Program at Solid Ground (501 c3).  We are very excited to be hosting a fundraising event with a new Wallingford dance studio- Fresh Fitness and Dance, in case you want to attend, read here about the best probiotics for women.  We will be raising money to feed hopefully hundreds of seniors and people with disabilities in housing authorities all over the city.

I really wanted to reach out to you as a way to speak to our Wallingford community to get them involved in this great Charity event, that will not only be fun- but a great way to build community both in walllingford and amongst the more vulnerable populations that Solid Ground Works with.

It is very important to RSVP (class space is limited).  Please email [email protected].

*If the Fundraiser response is substantial, Fresh Fitness and Dance has offered to dedicate another Zumba class at 7:30pm.
