Zaw Pizza coming end of August

Margaret Margaret July 31, 2011 9 Comments

True to his word, Joe Sanders from Zaw Pizza sent us an email today with the good news:

I promised Wallyhood would be the first to know…

Zaw Artisan Bake at Home Pizza is coming to Wallingford!

From our first day at the Wallingford Farmer’s Market two seasons ago, we knew that one day we wanted to open a Zaw location in Wallingford. In the years that have passed since then, we have developed so many great friends in Wallingford & Green Lake who visit us at our other locations and at the Farmer’s Market. We are glad the time has finally come to have a permanent location and an all-year-round convenient stop for everyone in the neighborhood who loves seasonal, organic and local food and drink.

We think the old 7-11 on Stone Way is going to be very convenient for all of our fans in the Wallingford, Green Lake and Fremont neighborhoods, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to join the Wallingford community full-time. We will pass on more details as we get closer, but for right now, we can say this: we are planning to open at the end of August.

Thanks, Joe! Allow me to be the first to say “Hurrah!”

So I guess this means the butcher shop is definitely not happening?

Rob – It looks like they’re splitting the old 7-11.

@Rob – Yup, Dennis is right. One portion of the 7-11 will have Bill the Butcher while the other one will house Zaw.

@Chris, next time you head to the Farmers Market, check them out!

@Margaret If Metro can’t get me there by 6pm, is it still open?
