On Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10:00 am-6:00 pm, Fair Trade Winds in Wallingford Center will celebrate its Grand Opening and Fair Trade Month with free samples of local fair trade edibles from Theo Chocolate, Equal Exchange coffee, Choice Organic Tea, and more. The new store carries reclaimed wood furniture, eco-friendly lighting, organic bedding, home decor, wall art and frames, kitchen textiles, housewares, handmade jewelry, woven goods, tree-free stationery, bath and body products, musical instruments, seasonal gifts, chocolate, coffee, tea, and dry goods.Fair Trade Winds is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. Phone: (206) 743-8500 E-mail: [email protected].

I’ve been to this store several times and they have lovely things available. As the recent closures of Izilla Toys and Not a Number demonstrate, it is tough for small businesses to make a go of it, so I encourage folks to stop by to take a look and show your support!
