Found: Husky and Hen

Margaret Margaret October 30, 2011 6 Comments

Julie writes:

Hi – we found a molting (on the neck) Buff Orpington hen, clucking around our back door this morning. On 41st between Sunnyside and Corliss. Here she is! She is waiting to be taken home – call 227-5020 to claim.

Also, is someone missing a Husky Pup? Here’s a flyer that reader Neil saw yesterday.

Hi, I live on 41st and Interlake, not my chicken, but i’ve been hearing chickens lately, so this one might be my neighbors!

The husky was re-united with his owners. Thanks due to the kind ‘finder’ who kept him warm and fed and rejected offers to ‘take him’.

Mary Heim’s chickens wander, but from 43rd St & Corliss? I think Mary may be out of town.

I talked to the husky’s Owner the other day and directed him to this site. Great news that he reunited with Kieco!

THAT’S OUR CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!…..her name is Henny Penny. Disappeared suddenly 4 or 5 days ago. We live on 65th/Greenlake, truly amazing she traveled that far. Bet she has some good stories. 🙂 I just left you a voice mail, look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks so much!

Glad that Henny Penny was reunited with her family. My girls were all present and accounted for, and several are molting. ‘Tis the season! They usually stay in their run, I have a “grazing lease” with the next door neighbors…The new chicks that were hatched in May venture out of the run and as far as the planting strip to see if, in fact, the grass is greener over there!
