Oom Yung Doe moves to Bridge Way

Margaret Margaret November 1, 2011 2 Comments

Wallyhood sponsor Oom Yung Doe recently moved from their location at 4319 Stone Way N. to 3845 Bridge Way N., right across from Lama G’s Cafe. The move was due to the impending demolition of the buildings on the 4300 block of Stone Way N. to make way for condominiums and retail.

Oom Yung Doe’s Greg Martin gave us the low-down, along with a new location special and information on working with UW Experimental College:

We moved a couple weekends ago and have been holding lessons since October 17th. The new address is 3845 Bridge Way N Seattle WA 98103. Everyone can reach us at 206-285-9789, or [email protected], or www.OomYungDoe-NW.com We also recently opened locations in Crown Hill and Lake City!

I would like to personally thank Llama G’s Cafe and Nalanda West Bhuddist Meditation center for their help with the move, especially offering us their ladders and other tools to get the building painted and prepared for classes.

Starting in January we are working the University of Washington Experimental College teaching “Way of the Samurai Sword” offering two sections either on Tuesday or Thursday evening. go to www.exco.org for information and registration.

Also, to celebrate our new location we have reduced prices for our Youth 8 Styles training. This means that in addition to our core curriculum of Tae Kwon Do and Jujitsu,  youth students can specialize in Kung Fu, Aikido/Hapkido, Tai Chi, Bagwa, Chinese Weapons, or Samurai Sword at a 50% discount! Providing your child with traditional martial arts training in multiple styles of martial arts helps their brain and body to develop a wider variety of skills and abilities causing them to be more successful academically, socially, and athletically.

One can find more information on-line about Oom Yung Doe. The Wikipedia entry might be a good place to start.
