Bars

Changes

Festivities begin at 9pm and Aunt Flo will arrive when she’s ready. And for those of you wanting to watch football on New Year’s Day, Changes is offering Brunch from 12:00pm.

Murphy’s Irish Pub
Murphy’s is hosting a New Years Eve party including a no cover band called Mile 9, playing Rock/Funk and R&B.Formed in 2009, Mile 9 has been performing in and around the Seattle area. Will Eskew (lead vocalist/guitar), Matt Moats (lead/rhythm guitar, keys), Jeff Poland (bass) and Kyle Howell (drums/percussion) bring a unique sound to their music, blending rock and funk-pop styles together with a hint of Seattle’s signature grunge genre. Their catchy tune “I Can’t Lie” serves up a combination of Hip-Hop inspired rhythms and funky guitar riffs, while their crowd favorite hit “10 More Minutes” bleeds rock and soul. The highly energized rock anthem “I’m Your Fool”, also showcases their musical range and soaring melodies. Mile 9’s fan base grows by the hour and they are quickly becoming local favorites among the Pacific Northwest’s music scene. Free champagne before midnight to toast the New Year. Music will start at 9PM.

These are the businesses that responded at the time we went to press. If any additional businesses respond, we’ll add them to the list.

I called Casa Azul to see if they’ll be open New Year’s Eve. This prompted a conversation, while I was on the phone, about whether or not they will be open. And the answer is… YES! Regular hours. At least that’s what they told me.

Murphy’s sounds potentially much louder than Changes. Hope the unhappy neighbor is braced.
