Cats and chickens out and about

Margaret Margaret April 22, 2012 1 Comment

A reader posted in the Forums on Friday about a cat, but also asked us to post photos, in case someone recognizes him:

I’m posting this for my neighbor, Mila. Her cat brought home a playmate, and she/he’s pretty much moved in. It’s a big kitty, maybe 16 pounds (?) shy but friendly. Mila’s taking very good care of her/him, and has named it Destiny. Has dark tabby like markings.

If this is your cat please call Mila at 206-525-3716.

Meanwhile, Caitlin sent us mail on Friday about a chicken on the loose up in the north end of the neighborhood:

We found this guy wandering around our yard last night (on 2nd near 50th). Apparently he (she?) has been spotted on our street a few times in the past week – did anybody in the neighborhood have an escape from their coop? He wandered around for a bit then disappeared into our neighbor’s yard – hope he finds his way home!

You may remember, too, the post about our neighborhood’s “Rogue Chickens“. On Friday, Josiah posted this update in the comments section:

May have one of these chickens in my yard now. I live on 38th an Bagley and a black, full grown, hen was in our driveway. We caught it and put it in our backyard with our chickens. We’d like to return this chicken to its rightful owner. Please email me at [email protected]. Or call sam at (415) 515-1599. He takes care of our chickens. It’s currently in its own pen. Almost escaped again. Have pics if u need.
