Seattle Tilth Edible Plant Sale this weekend

Margaret Margaret May 3, 2012 2 Comments

Pull your wagon out of the garden shed and head over to Meridian Park (4649 Sunnyside Avenue North) this Saturday and Sunday (May 5 & 6) for Seattle Tilth’s May Edible Plant Sale, from 9:00AM – 3:00PM.

The sale will include over 50 varieties of organic tomatoes and 20 types of peppers to choose from, many of which are heirloom varieties. Plus, you’ll find herbs, flowers, and lots of warm season plants like squash, corn, and drought-resistant perennials. Most veggies are $3 and herbs and flowers are $4. For a complete list, check out Seattle Tilth’s website. And for those new to gardening, informative signs and Seattle Tilth’s “garden educators” will be on hand to point you in the right direction. Come early for the best selection!

Additional Parking Enforcement has also been requested because of the past history of parking problems.

I was there early this morning and was amazed at how well-run and friendly it is! I was worrired when I saw the huge crowds, but the volunteers moved everyone through really efficiently.

Head up there if you haven’t been yet. They have a huge selection and won’t run out anytime soon!

Wallyhood needs you!

This community blog is all volunteer run, and we welcome articles from everyone in the Wallingford community. Something on your mind? Have a story to share? Please contact us at [email protected] today!
