Raffling for Japan

Margaret Margaret November 15, 2012 Comments are off

Boy, oh, boy, the fifth grade Japanese language-track students at John Stanford International are lucky ducks. Not only will they have been immersed in Japanese for 6 years by the time they enter sixth grade, but they’ll also have the chance to visit Japan for some real cultural immersion, which, for most of us, is an opportunity of a lifetime!

But, as you can imagine, a big trip like that can be pretty costly, and the kids rely entirely on fundraising to make it happen. So, if you’d like to help out, the students are holding a raffle this weekend at QFC. The cost is $10 per ticket and there are some awesome prizes up for grabs, including a few from neighborhood businesses (they’re highlighted below).

Look for the John Stanford International School raffle table at QFC on Saturday, November 17, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and on Sunday, November 18, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Buy a raffle ticket (or two) and you’ll have a chance to win one of these fabulous prizes:

* 4 Tickets- Pacific NW Ballet Nutcracker ($500 value)
* 1 Night Suite & Breakfast- Residence Inn Marriot S. Lake Union ($250 value)
* 4 Tickets- UW vs. Arizona Men’s Basketball ($160 value)
* 5 Lessons- Off The Wall School of Music ($125 value)
* $100 Gift Card- Cantinetta Restaurant
* $100 Gift Card- Kozue Restaurant
* $100 Gift Card- Dynamic Mobile Auto Detailing
* Mani & Pedi Gift Card- Spa Envy U Village ($56 value)
* $50 Skin Care Gift Card- Glee Day Spa
* $50 Massage Gift Card- Glee Day Spa
* 2 Tickets- UW vs. N. Illinois Men’s Basketball ($50 value)
