Wallingford Waterways Celebration Day This Saturday

Wallingford Community Council September 28, 2015 Comments are off

When: 1-3pm Saturday 3rd October 2015

Where: Waterway 21 (the wooden viewing platform located between Stone Way and Gasworks on N. Northlake Way).

Why: Wallingford’s various waterways are wonderful features of our community and the Wallingford Community Council is making the public waterways a regular item in its monthly meetings.  Your input is vital.

What: We will visit each Waterway of Wallingford, generating ideas and making plans as we go.  Please join us and add your thoughts to the mix.

Do you have ideas for preserving and using Wallingford’s public waterways? Opportunities for contemplative scenic views?  Restoring healthy habitats for native fauna and flora? Places to hand launch non-motorized watercraft, like kayaks? A stopover point for bicyclists, joggers, and walkers using the Burke-Gilman Trail?  Places to swim (for kids and their parents, for dogs and their humans, and for everyone else)?  Spots to watch wildlife (otters, herons and more)? Beaches for picnics (first date, play date, birthday…)?
