It is the ‘Dog’ Days of Summer

Well yes, the Romans called it the ‘Dog Days’ because the sun rises in the Canis Major (the Big Dog) star constellation in the sky in late August, but for our neighborhood it signals the Great Hot Dog Party at the Wallingford Community Senior Center.

Come on August 25^th, from 11:30 to 1 pm, to celebrate that fabulous Coney Island invention, the hot dog. We won’t have sand and salt water, but we will have all the fixin’s for a hot dog that will remind you of going out to the ball game. And pulled pork sliders, cole slaw, chips, baked beans and ice cream, too. Heaven!

Cost for lunch is $5.00 for Senior Center members and $8.00 for non-members. But be sure to register so we know how many people are coming.  Register by calling 206 461 2825.  You must be fully vaccinated and able to show proof of vaccination whenever you visit the Center.
