U District Street Fair

Mike Ruby Mike Ruby May 19, 2023 Comments are off

The U District Street Fair  has been with us for 50 years and keeps getting better each year. Just a short walk over I-5 to University Way NE, south of NE 50th St to NE 41st St. It is this coming Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and 21 from 11 am to 6 pm.

This year expect more than 175 artist and craft vendors stretching all along U Way, some you’ll be glad to see back again this year and some brand new. There will be entertainment at the Main Stage at NE 42nd St, starting with Taiko drummers at 11 am on Saturday, including funk rock, India dancers, the Garfield Jazz combo and ending with Laurel Canyon Legacy at 5 pm on Sunday. Check out the entire schedule here.  Other musicians and performers will be found throughout the Street Fair. In addition there will be about 40 food vendors and food trucks offering a wide assortment of treats.

The U District Street Fair is organized by the U District Partnership, an economic development organization for the U District. The Street Fair is sponsored and supported by nine major organizations, ranging from the University of Washington to The Stranger.
