Wallingford Weekend Festival

There may be frost on roofs, but the sun is shining bright, so there's no reason in the world not to shrug on a warm coat and walk on up to downtown Wallingford this weekend, there's just heaps going on. We already told you about the artist house sales, the lighting of the Wallingford signs, Santa photos benefitting the Boys and Girls Club, and the "Shop for a Cause" fundraiser for the Wallingford Senior Center, but Kara Ceriello of the Wallingford…

Trip the light fantastic

We'd hoped to tell you more about the builders of this bit of electroluminawesomeness, but nobody was home on our two recent visits. We know from neighbors that they're named Patty and Joe and that they've been at it for decades, but more, we can't say. In addition to the lights, there's an animatronic Mrs. Claus waving, a choir of moving, singing angels, music and a very visible of who's been nice. No sign of the naughty. Check it out at…

What, no Chanukah?

We've been collecting a good list of holiday goings on, including some Christmas Eve services at local churches and New Year's Eve dinners at all the great Wallingford restaurants (if you've got anything to add to the list, which we'll be posting shortly, please leave it as a comment on our Holiday Haps post). Given all the Christmas and New Year's talk, it's been noted that we haven't mentioned Chanukah, which might seem odd given our decidedly Hebrew religious leanings, and…
